There are only a few more hours until Taylor Kitsch, Alexander Skarsgård, Rihanna and Brooklyn Decker will hit our airwaves for "MTV First: 'Battleship' " to premiere an exclusive clip from their buzzworthy summer blockbuster. In the meantime, we are happy to hold you eager fans over with a snippet from our interview with Rihanna about the film.

"I wanted to do something badass but I didn't imagine it would be grungy, like straight Navy soldier, no makeup," Rihanna said of her expectations for her first movie role. "I enjoyed it. We did training just before the shoot, speeding the boat, turning, learning how to shoot and handle the weapon, and two hours later we were shooting that scene."

The "Talk That Talk" singer has received nothing but rave reviews for her work in the film.

"She was great," director Peter Berg told MTV News of Rihanna's acting chops. "She has a very strong part. I was surprised no one had ever thought to hire Rihanna," he added. "I was a huge fan of her videos. Obviously she's sexy, but she had this real intensity. I'm like, 'Someone's going to get her.'

"When I met with her, she came in a T-shirt and jeans, no makeup, very natural," Berg recalled. "She was like, 'Look, I want to be an actress. Don't kiss my ass. Don't lie to me. Push me. Treat me as you would any other actor. Help make me good.' She is really, really good in 'Battleship.' "

Don't forget to tune in to MTV on MTV tonight at 7:56 p.m. ET to watch the premiere of the exclusive "Battleship" clip, followed by 30 minutes of Q&A with the film's stars on MTV.com, hosted by MTV News' Josh Horowitz. Fans can get in on the action by submitting video or text questions via MTV.com or via Twitter using @MTVNews, hashtag #MTVFirst or #AskBattleship.

Justin Bieber Says He's 'Too Young' To Marry

'It doesn't mean Selena is not the right person though,' he says of waiting a bit before he ties the knot, to anyone.

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez denied engagement reports last week. And it seems that the Biebs, at age 18, is definitely not ready to get married. Doing press in Europe to spread the message about his new album, Believe, he was asked if he was ready to walk down the aisle with his actress/singer girlfriend.

"No, I'm too young. One day, I will get engaged, when I have found the right person in five or 10 years. It doesn't mean Selena is not the right person though!" he told Le Parisien, Pressparty.com reports. "She's going to kill me if I say that!"

The singer then talked a bit about having people constantly speculate about his relationship with Gomez. "It is not easy to be so young and to have a relationship with someone that doesn't stay private," he said. "But, well, I am a public personality, it is what I wanted, so I have to deal with it."

Earlier this year, Bieber opened up to MTV News about wanting to be a young dad. "I see myself in 10 years having a family," he said. "Twenty-eight, that's a good time to really have a family 'cause I want to be a young dad. Maybe, [it's a] long time away though. Don't get any ideas, people. It's not happening anytime soon."

Well, perhaps if he follows his own ground rules to being a great boyfriend, then one day he really will make some special lady happy. "I don't know if I'm even the best boyfriend," Bieber said on the set of his video for "Boyfriend." "But I can give a few suggestions. I think being honest and patient, because girls can be tough sometimes, so you just got to be patient. That's two. Forgive, and have fun, because it's about having fun. Last one? Be faithful."

USC develops printable liquid solar cells for flexible, low-cost panels

Solar cells are becoming more viable sources of energy -- and as they become more efficient, they're only getting smaller and cheaper to produce. Liquid nanocrystal cells are traditionally inefficient at converting sunlight into electricity, but by adding a synthetic ligand to help transmit currents, researchers at USC have improved their effectiveness. The advantage of these liquid solar cells? They're cheaper than single-crystal silicon wafer solutions, and they're also a shockingly minuscule four nanometers in size, meaning more than 250 billion could fit on the head of a pin. Moreover, they can be printed onto surfaces -- even plastic -- without melting. Ultimately, the goal of this research is to pave the way for ultra-flexible solar panels. However, the scientists are still experimenting with materials for constructing the nanocrystals, since the semiconductor cadmium selenide they've used thus far is too toxic for commercial use.

Samsung Galaxy S Advance gets April 30th release date in UK, needs more suffixes

Pitched spec-wise somewhere between Samsung's first Galaxy S and its very popular sequel, think of the Galaxy S Advance as the original, reimagined for a new generation -- a generation that remembers only a few years back. The attractive Super AMOLED display with dual-core bones caught our eye at MWC a few months earlier and will finally arrive on rain-soaked British shores on April 30th at the like of Phones 4u and Vodafone. The bad news? It's still toting that Touchwizzed Gingerbread, and arrives just days before Samsung shows what it's been hiding in its top-spec drawers.

Johnny Depp 'Created' His Tonto For 'Lone Ranger'

'He's not the servant that he was in the radio series,' producer Jerry Bruckheimer tells MTV News about Depp's character in Disney film.

Don't let the title deceive you: "The Lone Ranger" is all about Tonto.

Well, perhaps the movie isn't all about Johnny Depp's wildly imagined Native American hero, but he'll certainly be at the forefront of the upcoming Disney blockbuster from director Gore Verbinski. Producer Jerry Bruckheimer told MTV News as much at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, revealing that while "The Lone Ranger" is heavily focused on the masked gunslinger (Armie Hammer), Depp's Tonto will play a pivotal role in relating that story.

"It's him telling the story of the Lone Ranger. ... It's his voice," Bruckheimer explained of how Depp's Tonto steps into the spotlight of the story. "He's not the servant that he was in the radio series and television series. He's quite a different character."

Even if Tonto weren't at the center of the film, the visuals of the character alone would make him impossible to ignore. Depp recently spoke at length about why his Tonto looks the way he does, saying he drew inspiration from a Kirby Sattler painting.

"I think Johnny creating that character, he did it on his own," Bruckheimer told us. "He went out with his makeup people and found an iconic image that he loved and created it for himself. He did the makeup, showed me a picture and said, 'Let's go make this movie.' It just took a while to convince Disney to go make it!"

Indeed, not long ago, "The Lone Ranger" very nearly rode off into the sunset before it even got on the horse, when Disney threatened to pull the plug due to budget concerns. Those issues were ultimately ironed out, and "Lone Ranger" will ride on with a huge scope intact, budget cuts be damned.

"Minor things [were cut], nothing anybody will miss," Bruckheimer said about how the cuts affected the film. "The whole wonderful train sequences are still there. It's a big movie. It really is.

"It has some fantasy elements in it. It's grounded, but there are spiritual elements to it," the producer continued about the film's tone. "It's its own thing. It certainly has elements of humor, which Gore brings to everything he does, and great action as well. It's kind of like 'The Odd Couple' meets 'The Wild Bunch.' "

Of course, the reteaming of the "Pirates of the Caribbean" trio of Verbinski, Depp and Bruckheimer begs the question: Will we see "The Lone Ranger" ride again in future movies? Bruckheimer wasn't sure if this film would launch a franchise or not, but he admitted that he "didn't know 'Pirates' was going to be a franchise" either.

"Hopefully this one's going to work, and if they allow us to make more, we'll make more," he said.
